Meeting environmentally and socially responsible criteria is extremely important to us at hülyahome. We believe that we have a responsibility to provide the highest quality products to you while preserving, replenishing and enriching the existence and lives of all things that our products could have an impact on. That reach encompasses the lands, the waterways, the wildlife and the people, from farm to you, our community.
Fairtrade International Certification
Fairtrade Certification means that farmers get a guaranteed fair trade price for their crop, which is produced without using harmful pesticides, child labor or forced labor.
Farmers get paid a guaranteed minimum of 20 percent higher than market price for their products, but many companies go above and beyond that.
In addition, the farmer producer cooperatives receive a premium price on top of the minimum price which is negotiated between farmers, producers, business owners and the Fairtrade Organization. The premium price funds go into the farmer community cooperative and is distributed for needs and projects from school supplies to water wells or medical clinics, to name a few.
Fairtrade doesn't only provide the tools and education for farmers and their communities to build healthy sustainable business, they also work with the community helping to rebuild sustainable eco-systems, which benefit both the people and the wildlife.
For the rest of us, Fairtrade is the only organization that certifies Non-GMO seed and only premium quality fiber can be certified for use. This means we are providing cotton fabrics made of the softest, most consistent and most durable fibers.
Fairtrade is not a charity, it is empowerment.

Global Organic Textile Standard Certification (GOTS)
The Global Organic Textile Standard is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibers, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain.
Organic certification means that textile and fabric are grown according to strict guidelines on the use of petroleum based fertilizers, pesticides and synthetic farming products. Instead farmers use holistic methods of farming including natural fertilizers, cover crops and companion planting to ward off pests.
The non-use of chemicals promotes healthy land and water eco-systems.
GOTS Certification also defines and establishes fair working conditions and wages for factory workers.
For the rest of us, it means that harsh chemicals are kept out of our fabrics and out of the food chain, as only about 35% of a cotton plant is used in textiles, the rest is processed as cotton seed oil and animal feed.

Sustainably Managed Forestry Certification
Sustainably Managed Forestry certification ensures that paper products come from responsibly managed forests and resources. The principle mission is to promote environmentally sound, socially beneficial and economically prosperous management of the world's forests.
Believe it or not, over 10,000,000 trees are cut down per day world side. This directly affects the global climate, people and wildlife.
We are working closely with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) to obtain certification. Their principles and criteria provide a foundation for all forest management standards globally, including the FSC US National Standard (v1.0) that guides forest management certification in the U.S.
We believe strongly in the vision that we all can meet our current needs for forest products without compromising the health of the world’s forests for future generations.
